The Sender Policy Framework (SPF) is a strategy designed to combat spam. As time progresses, SPF is expected to become a standard approach for tackling spam on the Internet. An SPF record, which is a TXT record in a domain's DNS zone file, lists the authorized host names and IP addresses allowed to send mail for that domain. Once this record is added to the DNS zone, no additional configuration is needed for servers that include SPF checking in their anti-spam measures. This process is similar to adding regular A, MX, or CNAME records.

• To validate your SPF record, visit: SPF Validator.
Including an SPF record in your zone file is an effective way to prevent spammers from misusing your domain. It will significantly reduce the number of bouncebacks you receive, as other mail providers will reject the email outright rather than sending a bounceback to the spoofed reply-to address. Although SPF is not foolproof—since not all mail providers implement it—you should see a notable reduction in bouncebacks.
